In MS Mail using either mail or news if items are sorted oldest to newest the navigation arrows for next and previous point in the wrong direction. The 'previous' arrow points down but it moves (correctly) up and vice versa. Is it possible to replace the arrows with text (or fix them to point in the direction they are actually going)?
Note: I have preview pane turned off.

Mail/news navagation
No, but if you are not seeing the label for Previous and Next, right click on the Toolbar and select Customize and add the Text Label option. The actual direction of the arrow(s) means nothing. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile=F9F51EF1-4AE3-4D23-B2D8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped.

Thanks. The text would appear when mouse hovered over but not usually. I changed option as you suggested and now it always appears and the direction of the arrow is easily ignored.
